Items Needed:
Wreath
Bird nest
Eggs
Leaves
Berries
Nuts
Flowers
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Other animals (optional)
Directions:
Buy a wood wreath. You know the kind that looks like a bunch of wood wrapped around each other several times. The kind a bird would make a nest out of.
Determine which part of the wreath is going to be the top and bottom. On the bottom half, slightly off center towards the left, place your bird nest. Once you have the nest in the position that you like, and one that will be stable, attach nest by applying glue with glue gun to bottom of nest, and press firmly onto wreath.
Once nest has been attached, place eggs in nest.
Take leaves, nuts, berries, and place around wreath any way that suits your fancy.
Once positioned to your taste, take glue gun and glue in place. Remember to press firmly to wreath.
Next, take your birds and place one somewhere around the nest, as if protecting it, and the other one anywhere you like.
If you have other animals that you would like to use, such as squirrel or chipmunks, then you can place them around the nuts, berries and acorns, as if they are collecting them or eating them. Be sure to glue them firmly in place.
Last, fill in any open or empty space with flowers. If they have stems, you can stick the stem through the wreath for staying in place, if not, glue in place.
At the top of the wreath, you can place a bow, Poinsettia flowers, or anything else that you like.
** Since this bird nest wreath is in keeping with the Holidays, then I suggest using fall colors with your leaves and flowers. However, you can use whatever colors you desire.
